Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead a team of welders during build and repair operations for launch, recovery, and post-launch refurbishment.
  • •Lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structures, launch component supports, and pressure vessels.
  • •Lead contract welders when team sizes need to increase; train and monitor contractor work quality.
  • •Orient new team members, assign daily work tasks, assist in scheduling, and ensure work procedures are followed.
  • •Ensure welding staff follow proper weld procedures and assess material and rod needs for each project.
Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •5+ years of structural fabrication and welding experience.
  • •3+ years of piping system or pressure vessel fabrication experience.
  • •Ability to pass Air Force background checks for Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg.
  • •Must be available for all required shift hours and be available for overtime and weekends as needed.
