Key Responsibilities

  • •Meet performance and dependability targets while overseeing workload assignments and providing feedback on the maintenance program.
  • •Set and administer safety and regulatory compliance requirements (company, local, state and Federal) and ensure resources for a safe, professional work environment.
  • •Develop and execute mid- and long-term strategic plans and maintain base maintenance planning and vision.
  • •Develop and control the budget and one- to five-year capital investment plan, meeting goals across budgets, dependability, safety, and leadership development.
  • •Maintain relationships with Union representatives and stakeholders, administer the collective bargaining agreement and policies, and provide coaching and counseling as appropriate.

Key Requirements

  • •Undergraduate degree in Aviation, Business, Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience/training.
  • •10 years of experience in leadership roles overseeing large workgroups.
  • •Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance and programs.
  • •In-depth knowledge of the airline industry, technical operations, American Airlines policies/procedures, budget processes, FARs, and collective bargaining agreements.
  • •Demonstrate the highest standards of ethics and integrity, strategic thinking, and strong leadership and communication skills.
