Job Summary

Lead the initiation, design, and development of algorithmic stages within cloud applications on the HD Maps team. You’ll code in Python/SQL, deploy GIS algorithms on AWS/Spark, and collaborate with cross-functional R&D and engineering teams to deliver scalable, geospatial analytics for maps used by automotive OEMs and partners.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the initiation, design (requirements and specifications), and building of the product roadmap for algorithmic stages within cloud applications.
•Code and develop relevant algorithmic stages within cloud applications, utilizing technologies such as Python, SQL, AWS, and Spark, while ensuring high scalability.
•Collaborate across multiple R&D teams to seamlessly integrate analytics solutions into our mapping products.
•Work closely with engineering teams to align product development with strategic objectives.
•Engage in direct communication with trend-setting customers and automotive OEMs in EU, US, Japan, and China, as well as suppliers like automotive Tier 1 companies and Mapping firms.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or related field
•Proficiency in Python; experience with SQL
•Experience deploying GIS algorithms within scalable cloud applications, preferably on AWS and Spark
•Solid understanding of geospatial data concepts and tools (GeoJSON, PostGIS, QGIS)
•Familiarity with data visualization libraries (Matplotlib, Plotly, D3.js) to communicate insights
