Job Summary

Lead Electrical Discipline for power transmission and distribution projects, providing technical leadership, client management, and overall project delivery. Guide a team of engineers and designers through design review and basic engineering for EHV substations (AIS/GIS up to 400 kV), including feasibility studies, CDRs, calculations, and documentation. Drive proposal and bidding work, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and act as a key technical front face for Middle East clients.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide overall leadership of the Electrical Discipline, including client management, project delivery, bids & proposals, and people management (mentoring, training, team growth).
•Serve as a subject matter expert in primary and/or secondary detailed engineering for EHV substations across AIS and GIS for 132 kV to 400 kV.
•Perform design reviews and lead interfacing with clients on electrical deliverables for T&D projects, ensuring quality, standards compliance, and constructability.
•Manage engineering and design teams to complete sizing calculations, layouts, BOQs, technical inputs to designers, procurement assistance, and schedule adherence.
•Lead proposal and bidding work for power and network projects; coordinate with WSP offices and the GCC team and maintain complete substation design documentation (completion packages, as-builts, return data).

Key Requirements

•Possess a graduate or post graduate degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
•15-20 years of experience working in a lead role on large capital projects in the Middle East.
•Strong familiarity with tools such as Auto CAD, ETAP, PSS/E, and ASPEN.
•Experience on power transmission & distribution projects with Middle East utilities such as TAQA, ADDC, SEC, NGSA, or DEWA.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
