Key Responsibilities

  • •Enhance and maintain national security products for international customers.
  • •Build new capabilities using modern C++ within agile teams.
  • •Apply Linux and networking expertise for performance, deep packet inspection, and system behavior.
  • •Troubleshoot systems remotely in support of deployed capabilities.
  • •Travel internationally a few times per year to access deployed systems, meet end users, and support in-country staff.

Key Requirements

  • •Software development in C++ (modern standards), including performance-focused coding, concurrency techniques, and third-party/open source software (e.g., boost).
  • •Detailed knowledge of Linux development, including build systems, tools, compilers, kernel and drivers.
  • •Knowledge of computer networking and deep packet inspection, including TCP/IP (and also HTTP, DNS, DHCP, and tunnelling protocols such as GTP, MPLS, L2TP).
  • •Comfort with complimentary languages/technologies such as Ruby, Python, Puppet and Bash.
  • •Experience working in an Agile scrum team with supporting tooling (e.g., Jira), including remotely diagnosing and troubleshooting systems in support.
