Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections, including follow-up repairs, for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical, electrical, braking/cooling, steering, air conditioning, and engine/transmission/clutch/differential-related issues using appropriate test tools.
  • •Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions, then use sound judgment to identify problems and generate/evaluate alternatives.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and operate/maintain the company-issued service truck, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document work according to company standards, complete DOT and other required forms, and upload pictures/work details on Repair Orders using a company-issued iOS device and TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or alternative combinations such as additional degree/certification or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Must possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  • •Able to pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment (or submit a valid DOT medical card meeting the stated validity rule).
  • •At least 21 years old and must hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license with ability to obtain/maintain Driver Qualification File.
