Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and maintain asset strategies and multi-year investment plans for transmission, distribution, and substation assets based on condition, performance, lifecycle needs, and risk.
  • •Translate asset strategies and risk priorities into annual and multi-year capital plans, including investment prioritization, sequencing, and spend forecasts.
  • •Build business cases using lifecycle cost, cost-benefit, NPV, and capital versus O&M analysis to support cost-effective investment decisions.
  • •Serve as a technical resource for rate cases, FERC filings, the Distribution System Plan, and other regulatory proceedings, including preparation of evidence and supporting documentation.
  • •Partner with cross-functional teams to establish and track asset management performance measures and monitor portfolio health and capital program performance.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in electrical, civil, or mechanical engineering (or related technical discipline) from an ABET-accredited program, or equivalent experience.
  • •Typically 5+ years (P3) or 8+ years (P4) of progressive experience in electric utility engineering, operations, asset management, or a related field.
  • •Experience with capital investment planning and asset risk assessment, including lifecycle analysis in a regulated utility environment.
  • •Knowledge of transmission, distribution, and substation infrastructure and protection systems (overhead and underground distribution).
  • •Familiarity with NERC reliability standards, FERC requirements, and support for utility rate cases or regulatory proceedings.
