Job Summary

Lead the People & Intellectual Capital (PICG) function for Mashreq Bank Pakistan by developing and executing HR strategies aligned to business objectives and local regulations. Partner with the CEO and senior management to oversee recruitment, compensation & benefits, performance management, employee relations, training & development, and compliance. Ensure strong governance including regulatory reporting to the State Bank of Pakistan and support the Board Human Resource & Remuneration Committee (HRC) as its secretary.

Key Responsibilities

•Support the CEO in developing and implementing HR strategies that support the bank’s business objectives and values.
•Develop and maintain PICG policies and procedures in compliance with local laws and regulations.
•Oversee recruitment, compensation & benefits, performance management, and employee relations within Pakistan.
•Lead employee engagement, talent management, and succession planning; coach senior managers on people practices.
•Ensure governance and regulatory compliance, including timely SBP reporting and support to the Board Human Resource & Remuneration Committee (HRC) as secretary.

Key Requirements

•A professional or relevant post graduate management qualification is essential.
•At least ten years’ experience in Human Resources at both operational and strategic level.
•Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at senior levels.
•Sound knowledge of Pakistan Labour laws.
•Strong leadership skills, plus high analytical ability and commercial, cultural awareness.
