Job Summary

Ensure VF products comply with applicable product safety regulations across Apparel, Accessories, Equipment, and Footwear. Develop and implement product safety policies and Restricted Substances List (RSL) governance, run design and production readiness safety reviews, and manage chemical safety testing and corrective actions with suppliers and factories. Review test reports, oversee retesting and shipment disposition, and support CPSC CPSIA CPC/GCC eFiling using the Testing platform.

Key Responsibilities

•Support development, maintenance, and implementation of VF product safety policies, standards, and governance documentation (including Product Safety Manual and RSL policy) across product categories.
•Translate global standards into clear requirements and execution guidance for internal stakeholders, vendors, factories, suppliers, and laboratories.
•Conduct design safety reviews and close-the-loop execution through development, PRM, and seasonal review stages (FDR/ISR/FSR), driving risks to closure.
•Govern chemical safety testing using RSL requirements and required test packages; review scope/components before disposition decisions.
•Engage with factories/suppliers, review test reports, manage corrective actions and retesting approvals, and handle shipment approval/hold decisions; manage CPSC CPSIA CPC/GCC eFiling using the Testing platform.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (engineering, chemistry, environmental science, material science, textiles, product compliance) or equivalent experience.
•3–5+ years of relevant experience in product safety, product stewardship, regulatory compliance, testing, quality, or related fields.
•Experience working with global supply chains and cross-functional product teams.
•Proficient communicator able to translate technical topics into actionable guidance.
•Proficient Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
