Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services for storing and accessing large data volumes.
  • •Build reliable, secure distributed systems and service architectures at scale with a focus on developer experience and observability.
  • •Collaborate across product and infrastructure teams to drive workflow orchestration and platform improvements.
  • •Contribute to client libraries and APIs to enable customers to store and retrieve data efficiently.
  • •Work as part of a founding Belgrade team to implement the Lakehouse vision and Databricks values.

Key Requirements

  • •BS (or higher) in Computer Science, or a related field
  • •8+ years of production level experience in one of: Java, Scala, C++, or similar language
  • •Experience developing large-scale distributed systems
  • •Experience working on a SaaS platform or with Service-Oriented Architectures
  • •Knowledge of SQL
