Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to deliver accurate financials on a tight timeline.
  • •Lead revenue recognition for usage-based and hybrid contracts in accordance with ASC 606, including variable consideration, minimum commitments, overages, and true-ups.
  • •Partner with Engineering and Data to validate that metered usage data reconciles to billing systems and revenue recognized in the general ledger.
  • •Manage integrations and relationships with billing/metering platforms (Stripe Billing, Metronome) and the ERP/GL system.
  • •Oversee AR, AP, payroll, and the general ledger, and act as primary point of contact for the annual financial statement audit.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a Controller or accounting leadership role.
  • •Direct experience with usage-based/consumption or hybrid subscription/usage revenue models, including ASC 606 variable consideration.
  • •Hands-on experience owning fast, accurate month-end close in a high-growth environment.
  • •Experience with billing/metering platforms (Stripe Billing, Metronome) and ERP systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks Online or similar).
  • •Experience building and documenting internal controls, ideally with SOX or audit-readiness exposure.
