Job Summary

Build an ultra-stable, rapid-deployment operating system foundation for a next-generation fleet of solar-powered cameras. Drive low-level Qualcomm Android BSP bring-up, devicetree changes, and pSIM framework implementations to eliminate vulnerabilities and keep devices performing reliably in the field. Partner cross-functionally with electrical and application teams, contribute to kernel/driver bring-up, and own release cycles from secure code review through CI and deployment to physical devices.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive low-level Qualcomm Android BSP bring-up, including devicetree modifications and pSIM framework implementations to improve stability and eliminate vulnerabilities.
•Contribute to chipset bring-up by isolating, debugging, and resolving low-level system issues for the camera hardware platform.
•Work with device validation to increase automated testing through scripting, debug hooks, and custom tooling support.
•Own the release cycle by pushing code through version control and code review, running CI builds, and deploying stable OS builds to physical devices.
•Stabilize active camera programs in the field and optimize latency/performance bottlenecks between low-level hardware layers and cloud-connected applications.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of experience with a Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
•Proven experience working with large fleets of connected devices across the device lifecycle, including firmware stability challenges.
•Embedded systems/firmware development across prototyping, pre-production validation, release, and scaling stages.
•Experience with chipset bring-up in Linux or Android ecosystems and strong Android system architecture knowledge (HAL, Android Linux Kernel, Android Build System).
•Mastery of C and C++, including bootloader development/customization (XBL/ABL) and ability to develop/debug firmware for ADSPs in a Linux-based environment.
