Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and ship backend microservices on Kubernetes and AWS in small, safe iterations.
  • •Own and operate backend microservices to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet SLOs and deliver value for the Content Experiences domain.
  • •Contribute to engineering culture through knowledge sharing, code reviews, and technical discussions.
  • •Maintain high code quality, testability, and observability (logging/monitoring) across the platform.

Key Requirements

  • •Proficiency in at least one high level JVM language, preferably Scala or Kotlin.
  • •Experience with Scala functional programming libraries (e.g., cats, ZIO) or functional programming in general.
  • •Experience with distributed event-driven systems.
  • •Experience creating and consuming GraphQL APIs at scale, with good self-documentation and caller perspective.
  • •Familiarity with DevOps practices and technologies (Docker, AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD) and meaningful logging/monitoring for operational excellence.
