Lead software engineer on the Innovus RD team within Cadence's R&D group, solving challenging EDA problems in digital implementation, placement, routing, and optimization. Collaborate with designers of premium customers, applying C/C++ on UNIX, GPU acceleration, and ML techniques to enhance the Innovus product and its performance.

Job Function: Software Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Design, develop, troubleshoot, and support the Innovus product as part of the Optimisation RD team.
•Collaborate with designers from premium customers to address challenging EDA problems.
•Apply learning-based approaches, GPU acceleration, and ML techniques to optimize placement, routing, timing and power analysis.
•Contribute to large software projects with disciplined engineering practices on UNIX platforms.
•Participate in cross-functional reviews and deliver high-performance software enhancements for digital implementation workflows.

Key Requirements

•PhD or MS in Computer Science or Engineering with work experience is preferred
•Strong analysis, learning and problem solving skills
•Excellent programming and software engineering skills, especially C/C++ and UNIX platforms
•Prior experience with large software development projects is highly recommended
•Background from placement, routing, optimization, timing and power analysis in EDA domain
