Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and evolve Android architecture across apps and SDKs, including Gradle module boundaries, dependency graph, state management, navigation, and offline/sync strategy.
  • •Make and document consequential technical decisions, run design reviews, and uphold standards for Clean Architecture, MVVM/MVI, SOLID, and pattern consistency.
  • •Lead SDK ownership and API stewardship: design clean public surfaces, manage semantic versioning/backward compatibility, and maintain integration parity across Android, iOS, React Native, and Flutter variants.
  • •Own delivery execution including scoped planning, hands-on delivery of the hardest components, and release train operations (staged rollouts/halts, kill switches, rollbacks, artifact publishing).
  • •Define and enforce quality/performance/reliability targets, profile using Android tooling, act as incident commander for production mobile incidents, and run blameless post-mortems.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of professional software engineering, including 6+ years building and shipping production Android applications.
  • •2+ years in a technical leadership role (tech lead/lead engineer) owning architecture and outcomes for a team of engineers.
  • •Expert-level Kotlin with strong Java interop and deep command of Android SDK internals plus debugging and profiling tools.
  • •Demonstrated ownership of Android architecture at scale, including multi-module Gradle structure and dependency management.
  • •Deep expertise with Coroutines and Flow, plus strong Jetpack Compose (and Views) and core Android libraries (Lifecycle, Navigation, WorkManager, Paging).
