  • •Manage day-to-day staffing/scheduling and set up sample run schedules; ensure production work is completed according to department goals.
  • •Ensure case samples are processed and accounted for, while monitoring adherence to SOPs and safety procedures.
  • •Document nonconformance reports and corrective actions when test systems deviate from performance specifications; escalate protocol deviations and assist with CAPAs.
  • •Handle employee issues and support compliance through documentation, audits, and corrective actions; lead shift meetings and maintain team morale.

Key Requirements

  • •BS/BA (or equivalent) in a Medical Technology program with 4 years of CLIA laboratory experience, or BS/BA in Physical, Chemical or Biological Sciences (or related) with 5 years in a CLIA laboratory.
  • •Current CA state CLS certification required.
  • •Master’s degree in arts or science with a major in chemical, physical or biological sciences plus 3 years of CLIA laboratory experience, or Master’s degree with BS/BA in Medical Technology program plus 2 years of CLIA laboratory experience.
  • •Proven leadership experience.
  • •Experience in molecular biology and strong interpersonal/communication skills, including computer, troubleshooting, and pipetting skills.
