Job Summary

Coordinate and implement QA/QC requirements for minerals and mining projects, with a strong focus on steel fabrication and manufacturing oversight. Review and track inspection and test plans, quality plans, and related documentation; verify supplier quality records against purchase order requirements; and support NCR and corrective actions. Partner with Engineering, Procurement, and project/site QA/QC teams, support audits, maintain auditable quality records, and travel periodically to fabrication workshops.

•Coordinate and implement project QA/QC requirements in alignment with company and client quality systems.
•Review and track inspection and test plans (ITPs), quality plans, and related QA/QC documentation.
•Ensure fabrication and manufacturing activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
•Monitor supplier-submitted quality records and support non-conformance reporting (NCR) with corrective and preventive actions.
•Support audits, maintain accurate and auditable quality records in document management systems, and perform periodic travel to fabrication workshops for verifications.

Key Requirements

•Technical diploma or degree in Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Welding Technology, Materials Engineering, or a related field.

•5–10 years of experience in QA/QC roles within minerals, mining, or heavy industrial projects.
•Experience in steel fabrication and manufacturing workshop environments, including welding inspection activities and fabrication quality control.
•Familiarity with industry standards such as AWS, ASME, and ISO, plus ability to read and interpret structural and mechanical drawings.
