Job Summary

Senior electrical engineer leading and executing electrical power components for industrial and government projects within WSP’s Industrial Center of Excellence. Responsible for construction drawings, specifications, BOMs, power system studies, and reports; deep knowledge of grounding, protection, LV/MV systems, substations, and NEC/IEEE standards; mentoring and cross-functional collaboration in a hybrid/remote-capable environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and execute electrical power components for industrial/government projects within the team
•Create and issue construction drawings, specifications, BOMs, cost estimates, and power system studies
•Develop and apply grounding, lightning/surge protection, lighting, protection relaying, MV/LV MCCs and switchgear, substations, UPS systems
•Perform electrical calculations and develop layouts, including single-line diagrams and bus arrangements, conforming to applicable rules and permits
•Mentor junior engineers, coordinate with owners/discipline leads and sub-consultants to ensure compliance and project success

Key Requirements

•Bacheloregree in Electrical Engineering
•5 to 7 years of post-education experience as an electrical engineer delivering design for large capital projects
•Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification
•Experience with operations and project controls for reporting/proposals
•Proficient knowledge of electrical engineering principles, design/build, permitting, and related regulations
