Job Summary

Senior leadership role in the UK Structures North business, based in Leeds, directing strategic and operational activities, driving growth, client engagement, and delivery excellence across multi-disciplinary building design, transportation and environmental services. Leads recruitment, resource planning and BD initiatives to strengthen the Leeds region and contribute to national Property & Buildings objectives.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide highly visible, inspirational leadership, strategic direction and support for the centre; liaise with other offices and teams; recruit, develop and conduct reviews; and promote the organisation's values.
•Build and lead a culture of Business Development within the centre; secure work through existing contacts and targeted marketing initiatives; maintain key client relationships and lead account management processes.
•Act as Project Director on strategic/significant projects; ensure delivery excellence, attend principal meetings, and foster a strong project management culture; promote technical excellence and innovation.
•Maintain and strengthen the technical competence of teams; drive strategic innovation and ensure delivery of high-quality multidisciplinary building design and related services.
•Manage commercial aspects of projects including budgeting, fee bidding, working capital, debtors, invoicing and project forecasting; implement project delivery systems and structures.

Key Requirements

•Experience in the construction industry - property sector.
•Proven track record in delivering growth and profit with excellent client care and leading a motivated team.
•Strong Business Development focus with a good reputation in the Leeds/Regional marketplace within relevant supply chains.
•Proven experience of work winning, client care, repeat business and a considerable client facing role.
•Chartered Structural or Civil Engineer with an interest in promoting technical excellence and innovation.
