Collaborate with cross-border teams (London, Zurich, Berlin) to align technical strategy with business goals, deliver high-availability services, mentor engineers, and uphold security and compliance across critical systems.

•Lead by example to drive collaborative projects and move On forward, sometimes hands-on, to deliver from scratch when needed.
•Strategically align technology with business goals in Finance and Operations to balance technical solutions with company objectives.
•Articulate and execute a compelling technology vision for Finance & Operations, engaging stakeholders across teams and geographies.
•Foster a culture of continuous improvement by raising the technical bar and incorporating feedback to evolve systems.
•Make high-level, decisive leadership decisions that align with On’s overall strategy and maintain security/compliance across critical systems.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
•10+ years of experience building and scaling high-performance, available tech systems.
•Proven experience as a Principal Engineer, leading high-traffic services and major technical initiatives.
•Strong problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and excellent English communication.
•Proficiency in multiple OOP languages or TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, GCP, and Kafka Stream.
