Key Responsibilities

  • •Technically lead or verify flood hydrological assessments supporting flood alleviation schemes, reservoir engineering, and flood risk assessments.
  • •Technically review or verify reports documenting hydrological assessments.
  • •Mentor staff in hydrological estimation to support professional development.
  • •Support business development for national and international water clients and projects.
  • •Drive innovation, represent AECOM at conferences, and share updates on legislation and guidelines with the team.

Key Requirements

  • •BSc/BEng/MSc (or related degree) in Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography, or similar.
  • •15+ years of experience leading flood flow estimation for flood mapping and reservoir engineering using FEH and REFH2.
  • •Deep understanding of statistical hydrological analysis and experience calibrating hydraulic models with hydraulic modellers.
  • •Strong GIS skills using QGIS, ArcGIS and/or MapInfo.
  • •Chartered member of ICE or CIWEM (or equivalent) and familiarity with Hydrology+.
