Key Responsibilities

•Technically lead or verify flood hydrological assessments supporting flood alleviation schemes, reservoir engineering, and flood risk assessments.
•Technically review or verify reports documenting hydrological assessments.
•Mentor staff in hydrological estimation to support professional development.
•Support business development for national and international water clients and projects.
•Drive innovation, represent AECOM at conferences, and share updates on legislation and guidelines with the team.

Key Requirements

•BSc/BEng/MSc (or related degree) in Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography, or similar.
•15+ years of experience leading flood flow estimation for flood mapping and reservoir engineering using FEH and REFH2.
•Deep understanding of statistical hydrological analysis and experience calibrating hydraulic models with hydraulic modellers.
•Strong GIS skills using QGIS, ArcGIS and/or MapInfo.
•Chartered member of ICE or CIWEM (or equivalent) and familiarity with Hydrology+.
