Job Summary

Own day-to-day accounts payable and payout operations in a high-volume environment, including month-end close activities, accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations. Investigate discrepancies, monitor creditors and GL accounts across accounting/IT systems, and support complex transactions with review and approval. Drive continuous improvement and automation in the P2P area while ensuring SOX-aligned internal controls, partnering across Finance and other teams, and staying current on central bank/payment regulations.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform day-to-day accounts payable and payout operations in a high-volume environment.
•Execute and review month-end closing activities for AP-related accounts and ensure deadlines are met.
•Prepare and review account reconciliations; investigate discrepancies and resolve issues, including complex cases requiring deeper analysis.
•Monitor accounting and associated IT systems to ensure accurate creation and maintenance of creditors, GL accounts, and booking system interdependencies; raise system/data issues with stakeholders.
•Drive continuous process improvement (including automation) within the P2P area and ensure processes/documentation comply with internal controls and SOX requirements.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
•Minimum 6 years’ experience in Accounts Payable, Accounting, or a related field.
•Strong understanding of end-to-end AP processes, month-end close, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations with accurate delivery under tight deadlines.
•Demonstrated experience with internal controls and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX), including segregation of duties and control design in AP processes.
•Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel (e.g., data analysis and reconciliations).
