Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design of OLE design schemes.
  • •Deliver and manage production of technical OLE designs (layout plans, cross sections, allocations, isolation diagram updates, bonding designs) and supporting reports/calculations.
  • •Ensure designs are delivered in line with current design standards, are constructable, and apply Safe by Design principles.
  • •Communicate effectively with other design/construction disciplines and subcontractors, and respond to design queries during construction (attending online meetings if required).
  • •Maintain cost-effective OLE design standards, contribute to continuous improvement, and develop client relationships as appropriate.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven designer experience of significant Overhead Line technical design.
  • •Comprehensive knowledge and experience with OLEMI and other OLE ranges (e.g., UKMS, Series-1, Series-2, Mk3B, GEFF, Mk1, SICAT, SNCF, UK1).
  • •Familiarity with isolation diagrams and their update process, including earthing and bonding for electrification.
  • •Proficient with Bentley MicroStation CAD software.
  • •Experience managing teams and working to CSM-RA and Health & Safety requirements (including CDM).
