Job Summary

Operate normal and Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) forklift trucks, pallet trucks, and material-handling devices to safely receive, store, record, retrieve, transport, and dispatch goods within warehouse and premises boundaries. Implement SOPs, HSE and 5S/housekeeping standards, participate in Lean initiatives, and handle unusual loads. Inspect and perform minor maintenance, maintain routine check records, and use SAP WM to support inventory and expiry monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform loading and unloading of goods using normal and Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) forklift trucks and pallet trucks to support efficient movement and stacking of materials and products.
•Implement Standard Operating Procedures and HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines, and apply 5S principles to maintain clean and tidy operations.
•Operate forklifts and handling devices safely for receiving, storing, recording, retrieving, transporting, and dispatching goods per operational requirements.
•Inspect and perform minor maintenance on forklifts/material-handling devices, inform the Supervisor about repairs beyond capability, and maintain records of routine checks.
•Prepare products for shipment by moving items from storage to trucks with dispatchers and preparing accurate loads; provide inputs for method statements and near-miss reports, and prepare quality checklists.

Key Requirements

•Secondary School Certificate with a valid driving licence to operate both heavy and light duty forklift trucks.
•Expert knowledge of standard operating procedures and skills in loading and transportation vehicles/equipment.
•2+ years of relevant forklift and warehouse operation experience within a large manufacturing plant (preferably cable industry).
•Basic literacy in English to read labels on goods and packing lists.
•Knowledge of SAP Warehouse Management (WM) module (desirable).
