Job Summary

Install and terminate low-voltage AV systems for customer projects, including cabling pulls, rack wiring, and equipment/component installation. Lead and direct installation crews on larger jobs by coordinating progress with the Project Manager and mentoring Level 1–2 technicians. Read schematics/blueprints, troubleshoot AV functionality and network/IP-based integrations, support engineers/programmers with minor code changes, and perform client training while traveling to job sites as required.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform installation tasks for AVI-SPL contracted projects, including cable pulls/terminations, equipment/component installation, and rack fabrication/wiring layouts.
•Lead and direct installation crews on larger, more complex projects by coordinating and reporting progress to the Project Manager.
•Interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints and use hand/power tools to solder and crimp connectors.
•Test point-to-point cabling, verify system functionality, and troubleshoot AV systems, including control and DSP systems.
•Serve as a customer liaison on-site, support client training, and supervise/install documentation while coordinating with other trades.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 4–6 years of audiovisual, electronics, or related installation experience and a high school diploma or equivalent.
•Advanced ability installing, terminating, and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling (HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optic), including conduit runs and cable trays.
•Advanced understanding of audio-visual systems and network infrastructure integrations (IP-based systems, streaming, cloud-based services).
•Strong written and verbal communication skills and client-facing professionalism, including the ability to lead, mentor, and direct installation teams.
•Valid and current AVIXA CTS General Certification required, plus a valid driver’s license and an MVR meeting company standards.
