Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform analysis, design, development, testing, documentation, maintenance, and support of complex applications and processes.
  • •Create and maintain program/code artifacts meeting eMedNY standards, including coding, code review, and unit/string testing documentation.
  • •Produce SDLC documentation artifacts for review and approval.
  • •Assist with effort and duration estimates for systemic enhancements.
  • •Support production activities and resolve issues as they arise.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • •2+ years of IT experience and 2+ years of COBOL, CICS, and DB2 experience.
  • •Strong knowledge of COBOL, CICS, and DB2, plus familiarity with mainframe technologies and open systems interfaces.
  • •SQL knowledge.
  • •Knowledge/experience with NYS MMIS or other healthcare systems and EDI for HIPAA X12 5010 and NCPDP D.0.
