Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure underwriters comply with underwriting authority, pricing, and rating guidelines.
  • •Steer and control the local underwriting portfolio to achieve financial targets.
  • •Liaise with functional areas to review the end-to-end underwriting life cycle performance.
  • •Partner with Sales and Claims to achieve marketing strategies, including cross-selling.
  • •Support product development, acquisition/retention of business, and external communication of local business strategy.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, or Law.
  • •9-15 years of proven underwriting experience in profitable Property, including PD/BI and Theft and Liability for corporate clients.
  • •Proven leadership skills and experience steering underwriting performance across the underwriting life cycle.
  • •Strong knowledge of pricing and market analysis, including risk assessment capabilities.
  • •Strong communication skills and proficiency in Italian and English, with familiarity in wordings/product development and underwriting projects.
