Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as the single engineering face to the merchant, owning technical success end to end without handoffs.
  • •Sit with merchant teams to scope and define a clear technical plan for the real problem, ideally before contract signing.
  • •Build and ship production code using Razorpay systems and, where allowed, the merchant’s repo—implementing custom flows, SDK integrations, orchestration logic, and hooks.
  • •Use AI agents (coding, knowledge, routing) to accelerate routine work and incident triage.
  • •When patterns repeat across 2+ merchants, write up and feed the improvements back to product pods; maintain a tight progress cadence and respond to raised issues within 2 hours.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong, hands-on coding with Python and one of Java, Go, or TypeScript, delivering production-grade code.
  • •Experience building and shipping end-to-end features start to finish, ideally with customer contact.
  • •Fluency with AI coding tools/agents and an ability to show how they multiply output.
  • •Comfort working in ambiguity without clear specs and making progress anyway.
  • •Strong background in systems/deployment (APIs, webhooks, integration patterns, cloud like AWS/GCP) with payments-flow familiarity a plus.
