Job Summary

Serve as a trusted technical advisor to U.S. government customers, helping them evaluate how GitLab Enterprise Edition and the DevSecOps platform address mission and business outcomes. Own technical evaluation from proof of concept/value through tender and audit support, lead POC/POV delivery, and partner with sales to shape adoption strategies. Guide customers through deployment, build customer success plans, and advocate customer insights back into Product, Sales, and Marketing.

•Engage public sector customers (onsite and remotely) during pre-sales with tailored demos, technical presentations, and hands-on workshops.
•Collaborate with sales to shape and execute account strategies that drive GitLab adoption in government environments.
•Own technical evaluation including POC/POV design and delivery, tender/audit support, and technical input into proposals.
•Lead creation of Customer Success Plans capturing technical success criteria and handoff details for smooth deployment and adoption.
•Run Value Stream Assessments and mentor other Solutions Architects while improving technical collateral and documentation.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 154,200 - 231,300 annually

Key Requirements

•Background in technical pre-sales, consulting, or IT roles, ideally with U.S. public sector/federal customers guiding evaluations and solution design.
•Hands-on experience with GitLab and familiarity with modern software development/operations practices such as CI/CD, DevSecOps, and automation.
•Experience with cloud computing platforms and related technologies in regulated or security-conscious environments.
•Ability to connect technical solutions to measurable business or mission outcomes and advise senior stakeholders on tradeoffs and options.
•Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including leading customer meetings, demos, and value-focused conversations with sales and cross-functional teams.
