Build and operate highly reliable, scalable, and secure cloud services for Okta’s Federal SRE team (Emerging Products Group). Lead incident response and post-incident improvements, define SLI/SLOs and error budgets, and enhance observability across metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting. Drive automation-first engineering using Go, Python, Terraform, CI/CD, and GitOps, while mentoring engineers and influencing operational and architecture decisions. Work with AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, and distributed data systems in a classified environment.

•Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response, driving post-incident reviews and systemic improvements.
•Define, measure, and improve SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets to strengthen reliability and performance.
•Develop automation and infrastructure using Go, Python, Terraform, CI/CD, and GitOps to reduce toil and improve deployment safety.

•Strong experience operating large-scale production services in AWS and/or GCP.
•Deep expertise with Kubernetes in production, including troubleshooting networking, storage, scheduling, scaling, and workload lifecycle issues.
•Extensive Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform and Helm.
•Strong software engineering skills in Golang and/or Python, plus experience building automation and internal engineering platforms.
•Experience operating distributed data platforms (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redis, OpenSearch, MySQL, Cassandra) and strong observability/production telemetry practices.
