Job Summary

RAMS Lead for rail and transit programs, responsible for guiding RAMS activities across major rail projects, developing RAMS plans and hazard analyses, and driving system assurance through lifecycle processes. Leads multi-disciplinary teams, mentors engineers, and represents RAMS with clients/regulators to improve safety, reliability, and asset performance.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead all RAMS activities across complex rail programs, aligning strategies with client, project, and organizational objectives.
•Develop and implement RAMS Plans, System Safety Plans, hazard analyses, and risk assessments.
•Drive System Assurance through V‑Lifecycle processes including requirements management, validation & verification, and trial running support.
•Oversee reliability, maintainability, and LCC modelling to support long‑term asset performance.
•Guide incident preparedness, emergency/crisis planning, and operational risk acceptance.

Key Requirements

•10+ years of technical leadership experience in RAMS/System Assurance within rail transit environments.
•Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline; P.Eng. (or eligibility) required.
•Deep knowledge of CENELEC, CMREA, MIL‑STD and other system safety standards.
•Experience developing and delivering hazard logs, RAM modelling, risk matrices, SIL/ASIL assessments, and safety cases.
•Experience with V‑Model processes, testing & commissioning, reliability demonstration, and system integration.
