Job Summary

Build and run cell-based functional assays that validate antibody and protein activity, from bespoke science to reliable, automated, productized capabilities. Work hands-on with reporter systems, potency and functional readouts while collaborating with lab automation to scale high-throughput workflows. Partner with software to model and interpret functional data (e.g., dose-response and potency) and maintain assay robustness through controls, reference standards, and troubleshooting.
Location: Switzerland
Workplace: Onsite
Employment Type: Full time
Job Function: Research & Scientific (R&D)
Seniority: Mid level

Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, qualify, and run cell-based functional assays hands-on, including cell activation/signaling, reporter-gene assays, potency assays, and antibody functional readouts.
  • •Convert bespoke functional assays into productized, orderable capabilities with defined, reproducible performance.
  • •Integrate assays into production workflows and collaborate with lab automation to make assays robust and high-throughput.
  • •Partner with software to structure and model functional data (e.g., dose-response and normalization) and make results interpretable and comparable across runs.
  • •Own assay robustness through controls, reference standards, troubleshooting, and maintaining the quality bar for reported results.

Key Requirements

  • •Deep, hands-on experience developing cell-based functional/potency assays, including reporter cell lines and primary cells, with reproducibility considerations.
  • •Applied industry experience building and running these assays in production, development, or commercial settings where throughput and reliability mattered.
  • •Strong understanding of antibody/protein function and mechanism to design the right assay for the scientific question.
  • •Ability to quickly build new assay capabilities and productize bespoke assays into reproducible, orderable offerings.
  • •Data fluency for analyzing dose-response and potency data (scripting and interpretation are a strong plus).
