Job Summary

Consultant Ecologist in the Nature team working on infrastructure projects across energy, water, renewables, defence and transport. Lead field surveys, ecological data analysis, Ecological Impact Assessments, and Habitats Regulations Assessments; provide ecological advice to clients and stakeholders; act as Ecological Clerk of Works on construction projects; mentoring and training opportunities within a supportive, hybrid-working environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Organise and carry out desk studies and field-based habitat, botanical, protected and non-native invasive species surveys.
•Analyse, evaluate, interpret and present ecological data, supporting Ecological Impact Assessments and mitigation design.
•Ensure safe delivery of protected species and habitat surveys, evaluate results, assessments, and mitigation implementation.
•Perform the role of Ecological Clerk of Works on construction projects.
•Support work-winning activities and provide ecological mentoring and coaching to the team.
