Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as primary technical liaison to Operations on control system performance and issues, coordinating with control engineers and specialists to resolve problems.
  • •Provide advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics for SIS, DCS, and PLC hardware, software, and network-level faults.
  • •Design, implement, and document logic and HMI configuration changes across SIS, DCS, and PLC platforms while following the Management of Change (MOC) process.
  • •Lead and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and startup to validate control system functionality and compliance.
  • •Execute preventive and corrective maintenance for SIS, DCS, and PLC hardware, including diagnostics, testing, and support for long-range reliability and obsolescence mitigation plans.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or GED required.
  • •Typically 6+ years of industry experience in Control Systems support or Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) technician roles.
  • •Working knowledge of safety instrumented systems (SIS), distributed control systems (DCS), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and instrumentation.
  • •Ability to perform maintenance and diagnostics on live SIS, DCS, and PLC systems across multiple process units.
  • •Preferred: hands-on configuration/programming experience with Emerson DeltaV or Honeywell TPS/Experion control systems, including hardware and I/O setup.
