Job Summary

Monitor plant environmental, safety, health, and security systems to achieve an environmentally compliant, injury-free workplace. Oversee environmental compliance programs (air, water, waste), evaluate lab and test results, maintain permit and regulation reporting, and troubleshoot environmental systems. Serve as a 24/7 technical expert for OSHA and environmental rules, conduct audits and performance reviews, coordinate with authorities, and develop site training for employees and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee, enforce, and update environmental compliance programs for air, water, waste, and other requirements.
•Evaluate environmental test results and laboratory data/procedures for compliance with regulations and permits.
•Implement and administer occupational safety, health, and security programs and ensure plant-level accountabilities.
•Maintain regulation and permit reporting, renewal, and related documentation requirements.
•Serve as a technical expert for environmental and OSHA compliance, conduct audits/inspections, assess safety/health/security performance, and develop training for employees and contractors.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 101,760 - 167,880 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering with at least 3 years of environmental and/or safety experience in an industrial setting (or equivalent).
•Knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations; OSHA regulations; occupational health standards; and homeland security regulations.
•Knowledge of power plant operation and maintenance activities.
•Proven ability to communicate technical information to plant personnel and strongly influence and motivate employees and management.
•Ability to physically conduct detailed facility audits/inspections and be available on call 24/7 and for unscheduled emergency overtime.
