Job Summary

Manage clinical caseload and provide aviation medicine expertise to determine fit-to-fly conditions and ensure aircrew receive care compliant with HAAD rules and civil aviation regulations. Handle medical emergencies within the Medical Centre, contribute to specialist service planning, and support medical audits for licensing and regulatory compliance. Analyze specialist service data to report insights, help develop aviation medicine policies and directives, and build clinical care pathways with healthcare provider partners.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage clinical caseload and provide aviation medicine expertise to determine fit-to-fly conditions in line with HAAD and civil aviation regulations.
•Respond to and manage medical emergencies in the Medical Centre clinical area to ensure patient health and safety.
•Participate in review and planning activities for specialist services in the Medical Centre to improve operational efficiency.
•Participate in medical audits required by health authorities and aviation-related authorities to meet licensing requirements and ensure full compliance.
•Collect and analyze data on specialist services, and support formulation of aviation medicine and preventative medicine policies, procedures, and directives.

Key Requirements

•Minimum Diploma (2+ years) in Medicine with a post-graduation qualification in Aviation Medicine from an institution recognized by the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi.
•Obtain a license from HAAD to practice within the aviation medicine specialty.
•Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience overall, including at least 5 years in aviation medicine specialty work in a clinical/hospital setting since gaining higher qualification.
•High degree of awareness and understanding of HAAD/GCAA regulations and standards.
