Job Summary

Design, develop, and own complex software features for Dell’s high-performance storage software stack, contributing to next-generation enterprise storage products. Build datapath software on SPDK while integrating emerging drive, enclosure, and protocol technologies. Key Responsibilities

•Design, develop, and own complex software features end-to-end, from requirements and design through implementation, testing, and long-term support.
•Build high-performance datapath software on SPDK and integrate emerging drive, enclosure, and protocol technologies.
•Own performance analysis of the storage software data path, including queueing behavior, CPU efficiency, memory usage, PCIe bottlenecks, and latency behavior.
•Work closely with architecture, hardware, and software teams on HW/SW interface definition.
•Experiment with and integrate emerging AI tools into the development workflow to boost productivity and innovation.

Key Requirements

•Relevant BSc with exceptional marks from a top university.
•7+ years of hands-on experience with storage, device drivers, embedded software/firmware, Linux, and/or networking, including open-source contributions and upstream community engagement.
•Expert-level coding skills in C/C++.
•Experience and understanding of Linux internals, including algorithms, data structures, multithreading, and communication protocols.
•Comfort working in an AI-native development environment using spec-driven development (SDD), AI-assisted workflows, and engineering governance.
