Job Summary

Develop detailed designs for electric distribution systems (overhead and underground) from 120/240V to 69kV, produce construction-ready drawings using AutoCAD and ArcGIS, and support project execution from design through construction while coordinating with clients and internal teams to meet safety, budget, and schedule targets.

Key Responsibilities

•Execute distribution engineering projects of varying complexity from concept through construction, meeting client requirements, safety standards, and budget/schedule constraints.
•Produce construction-ready drawings using 2D CAD tools (AutoCAD) and coordinate with senior engineers to resolve design details or discrepancies.
•Collect, compile, and analyze data from sites, surveys, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support drafting and design activities.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project controls, procurement, and permitting to advance project deliverables.
•Write technical reports and assist with risk identification and assessment, providing input on design concepts and field applications.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
•1 to 3 years of relevant post-education experience in an electrical engineering capacity.
•Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, design/build, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues.
•Familiarity with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management; including rehabilitation and new design.
•Analytical mindset with an ability to exercise sound judgement, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
