Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the multi-year technical roadmap, designing and evolving high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems for real-time merchant transactions.
  • •Define long-term technical vision across 2–3 engineering teams to detect and prevent evolving fraud vectors at scale.
  • •Partner with group leadership to evaluate organizational health, identify engineering bottlenecks, and align technical investments with merchant protection goals.
  • •Standardize engineering practices, architectural patterns, and quality bars across fraud-focused teams; drive clarity as new fraud vectors or requirements emerge.
  • •Collaborate with Data Science and ML Engineering to evolve infrastructure for rapid model deployment, feature stores, and real-time inference without compromising reliability or speed.

Key Requirements

  • •Track record defining long-term technical strategy through strong architectural thinking, sound technical judgment, and excellent communication.
  • •Extensive experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems with reliability, performance, and resilience in production.
  • •Deep understanding of security-by-design, specifically for KYC, identity verification, and regulated data handling.
  • •Experience building production-grade interfaces powered by LLMs, including harnesses, policy enforcement, evals, RAG architectures, and secure data handling.
  • •Demonstrated ability to build partnerships across Engineering, Product, Compliance, and ML Engineering to align technical direction and balance near-term needs with long-term investments.
