Key Responsibilities

  • •Implement, enhance, and productionize a Node.js and oclif-based application that acts as a package manager.
  • •Assess rewrite effort for a desktop CLI app and implement changes using more appropriate languages when needed.
  • •Implement automation workflows for developer workspace configuration and tooling deployment.
  • •Build and integrate configuration services via a central dashboard that reports installed application/recipe versions across the package manager installation base.
  • •Support rollout activities (UAT/PRO deployments, documentation, end-user communication) and collaborate with Desktop DevEx to align tooling automation with endpoint engineering processes.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor or Master degree in computer science or similar.
  • •Minimum 5-7 years of experience in requirements engineering for large-scale IT solutions.
  • •Strong Node.js and oclif / bun development experience; able to use other languages (e.g., Rust, Go, C-family) to rewrite the existing application.
  • •Experience with scripting using shell, PowerShell, and Python.
  • •Experience with software packaging for macOS and Windows and familiarity with SDLC/developer workflows and automation frameworks.
