Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment (e.g., electrical/brake/cooling systems, engines, transmissions, steering systems, HVAC) using test instruments and road tests.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Maintain and operate the service vehicle, conduct safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document repairs and DOT forms accurately on repair orders (ROs), including uploading pictures and findings using a company-issued iOS device and proprietary application.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination, such as additional degree/certification or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Possess and supply the hand tools necessary to perform job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment (or submit a DOT medical card with more than 4 months remaining).
  • •Must be at least 21 years or older and have a valid state-of-residence driver’s license with ability to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File.
