Job Summary

Platform Operations Program Manager helps scale OpenAI’s developer ecosystem by designing and operating cross-functional processes that enable plugins, MCP apps, agent skills, and integrations to reach market safely and efficiently. You’ll partner with Product, Engineering, Policy, Legal, Security, and Developer Experience to translate product and policy requirements into scalable operational systems while leveraging AI to improve speed and quality.

Job Function: Program & Project Management (PMO)

Key Responsibilities

•Own the operational processes that help developers bring apps, plugins, and integrations to market, from submission and review through launch, appeals, and ongoing monitoring.
•Manage external review partners and policy operations workflows, helping teams apply standards consistently while identifying areas where guidance, process, or quality expectations need to improve.
•Partner with Product, Engineering, Policy, Legal, Security, Developer Experience, and Go-to-Market teams to turn platform goals and requirements into clear, effective operating processes.
•Lead high-priority partner reviews and escalations, balancing speed to launch with user trust, and consistent standards.
•Create feedback loops across product, policy, tooling, and developer experience teams to reduce friction for developers and improve the quality of integrations over time.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 252,000 - 280,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Have 8+ years of experience in program management, developer operations, product operations, or related fields.
•Demonstrate a deep understanding of developer platforms and APIs (MCP, OAuth, authentication, permissions, data flows) even if you are not writing production code.
•Translate evolving product, platform, and policy requirements into scalable operational systems and processes.
•Exercise strong operational judgment and balance speed, safety, and business priorities in decision making.
•Lead AI-driven initiatives and automation to reduce manual work and scale operational processes.
