Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle in accordance with applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely over required routes while following traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading and maintain required shipping paperwork (invoices and bills of lading).
  • •Perform routine service checks (e.g., oil, water, gasoline, air) and report maintenance issues; arrange trailers in shipping yards.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold either a Commercial Drivers License (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license (depending on state) appropriate for the vehicle’s weight.
  • •Must pass background and drug testing per federal/state DOT regulations and pass a DOT physical.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicles.
  • •Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds, and complete prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with professional, courteous communication with customers and staff at delivery points.
