Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive and enhance the Data & AI Use Case Assessment process to enable transparent risk-taking while maintaining compliance and trust.
  • •Implement Visa’s Responsible Data Use framework, including change management efforts to embed data ethics into the organization.
  • •Conduct thorough Data & AI use case reviews, evaluating risks against policies and rules and diving into technical specifics when needed.
  • •Lead end-to-end analysis for complex AI/data projects, identify and document risks, synthesize feedback into clear review reports, and coordinate subject-matter experts.
  • •Proactively improve policies, provide thought leadership on responsible AI and data governance, and lead training/awareness on the Data Use Policy while mentoring junior colleagues.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 2 years with a PhD.
  • •Proven experience in data and AI domains, including data science, data governance, data privacy, or related fields (payments/fintech experience is a plus).
  • •Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies, especially generative AI and large language models (LLMs), with strong awareness of ethical AI and responsible data use frameworks.
  • •Technical proficiency in quantitative analysis and data tooling (e.g., statistics, coding, or data engineering) to interpret complex datasets and algorithms for policy compliance evaluation.
  • •Familiarity with evolving data and AI regulations (e.g., EU AI Act, GDPR, CCPA) and ability to incorporate regulatory requirements into assessments and recommendations.
