Job Summary

Serve as the primary client-facing cost management lead on large-scale data center construction projects, focusing on heavy civil and site development scopes. Own change-order estimating and negotiation, cost planning, valuation, and quantity surveying across design and construction phases. Coordinate with design teams and general contractors, reconcile contractor data, and produce executive-ready written reviews and monthly cost reports. Ensure cost validation/audits, support final accounts, and uphold SOX controls where applicable.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as the primary day-to-day client interface, delivering disciplined, value-driven cost management services on data center construction projects.
•Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle, with focus on sitework, earthworks, utilities, and civil packages.
•Develop, review, validate, and maintain cost plans through design progression, aligned with early works and project milestones.
•Reconcile and validate contractor-provided data, produce written reviews of submissions with executive-level summaries, and support audits/valuations.
•Support post-contract cost control including change management, contingency tracking, commitment logs, funding reporting, value engineering, and final accounts negotiation.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
•Minimum 6–7 years of relevant construction cost management experience, including large-scale infrastructure or heavy civil projects with applicability to data centers or mission-critical environments.
•Experience supporting complex, fast-paced construction programs with significant site development components.
•RICS accredited or actively working toward accreditation is preferred.
•Candidates must be physically based in the United States and legally authorized to work in the U.S.; ability to travel to project sites as required.
