Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead small- and large-scale civil engineering projects, ensuring contributors meet responsibilities and deadlines, and oversee budgets, hours/expenses, and contractor performance.
  • •Prepare preliminary and final design plans, cost estimates, and special provisions while developing staff capabilities and adhering to QA/QC.
  • •Provide technical expertise for MnDOT project pursuits and contribute to proposals, scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • •Maintain familiarity with county capital improvement programs and identify potential projects for future RFPs.
  • •Support and mentor local staff while collaborating with engineers, planners, and infrastructure authorities on improvement projects.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
  • •15+ years of post-education experience in engineering and civil design.
  • •Minimum 10 years of verifiable professional project management experience.
  • •Professional Engineer registration in the State of Minnesota or ability to obtain within six months.
