Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and check process flow diagrams, mass balance calculations, PID’s, process control, operating philosophy, control philosophy, FDS documents and the principles therein; undertake survey and assessments of existing process/equipment (asset surveys) and site visits as required
  • •Produce and review client deliverables, make key technical decisions and identify when specialist input from the greater team is required; ensure all technical documents and data are prepared in accordance with design standards and legislation
  • •Collaborate with clients and AECOM counterparts to ensure stakeholder buy-in to solutions and contribute to AECOM’s wider technical capability and innovative approach
  • •Delegate tasks, direct and oversee the work of others and act as a technical mentor to more junior staff
  • •Represent AECOM in technical meetings with clients and work with engineers from other disciplines to ensure an integrated solution

Key Requirements

  • •Degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering
  • •Chartered Engineer status with IChemE or CIWEM
  • •Extensive experience in water treatment, managing the technical delivery of large-scale engineering projects; water treatment process design and optimisation using appropriate Water Company standards and specifications
  • •Extensive experience of leading Feasibility, Optioneering Studies and Detailed Design for water treatment processes
  • •Ability as a mentor, checker and verifier
