Job Summary

Serve as the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane customers in a commercial market, handling commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and startup of HVAC systems. Use HVAC theory, pipe fitting knowledge, and mechanical layouts to diagnose and fix equipment at customer sites. Coordinate with team leaders and customers for installations and repairs, follow blueprints/specs, enforce safety standards, and mentor team members while accommodating overtime and occasional overnight stays.

•Perform end-to-end testing, downloading programming, starting up, commissioning, and servicing on assigned projects.
•Serve as the direct customer contact for servicing products and equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing systems at customer locations.
•Coordinate with team leader/project manager and customers to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs and forecast issues.
•Diagnose and repair HVAC units using hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
•Enforce safety standards, maintain accountability of company assets, and mentor team members while supporting overtime and occasional overnight stays.

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma or equivalent, or a certificate of completion from an accredited technical school is required; typically requires 10+ years of HVAC experience.
•Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and proficiency with hand-held computer devices (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
•Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months with no major/frequent traffic violations (including DUI, Hit & Run, or license suspension) within the prior 3 years.
•EPA Certification preferred (e.g., HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer).
•Preferred: technical school or formal training.
