Job Summary

Fabricate prototypes and tooling that support manufacturing development and assembly for maritime defense hardware. Help develop and improve machining and welding processes while applying lean manufacturing, metrology, and visual management to optimize production flow. Assist with product and production system design, support facility creation at new factory sites, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver factories and products off the line.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist in developing manufacturing technology team solutions for new machining and welding processes and technologies.
•Aid in product and production system design and facility creation to deliver cost- and schedule-effective factory solutions.
•Support design, construction, fabrication, and start-up of production systems at new factory sites to ensure delivery off the line.
•Provide recommendations based on specific skill sets in processes, materials, and technologies.
•Collaborate with product designers, manufacturing engineering, operations, facilities and construction, environmental safety & health, and external vendors for facility design and commissioning.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 68,000 - 90,000

Key Requirements

•Experience in machining, fabrication, prototyping, and related processes.
•Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment alongside operations and manufacturing engineering to understand and optimize the production system.
•Be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
•Be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
•Provide recommendations based on your skills in processes, materials, and technologies.
