Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and execute growth strategies for Akima’s Federal facilities O&M portfolio aligned to targeted customers.
  • •Build, qualify, and maintain a strategic pipeline of opportunities generally valued at $250M+ (including recompetes and strategic task orders).
  • •Lead priority capture efforts from qualification through award across IDIQ/task order and single-award environments, including win strategy and proposal readiness.
  • •Translate customer priorities and evaluation drivers into differentiated, competitively priced solutions and win themes.
  • •Manage capture activities, resources, and capture & proposal (B&P) budgets for assigned deals, coordinating cross-functional proposal execution.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of progressive Federal business development and capture experience, including DoD and other Federal customers.
  • •Proven ability to identify, qualify, capture, and win large, complex Federal opportunities (including $100M+ contracts) with multiple wins in a lead BD/capture role within the last 3 years.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, facilities management, construction management, architecture, operations, or related field (or directly applicable experience in lieu of a degree).
  • •Strong understanding of facilities and base operations services, including integrated facilities management, maintenance and repair, utility plant operations, HVAC/electrical/mechanical/plumbing, and work control.
  • •Active SECRET (or higher-level) security clearance.
